Painting
My work is driven by a deep connection to nature, rooted in childhood memories of growing up in the wilderness of West Wales. My recent paintings are based on photographs taken in nature, supported by sketches and visual references from my surroundings. Wandering often through the Everglades, I forage for moments of transformation—fleeting instances where time, light, and life converge. Drawn to the landscape’s vastness and deceptive simplicity, I find inspiration in its scale and subtle shifts in light, referencing Japanese prints through delicate composition, gilding, and expressive brushwork.
